Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. It is the largest city in Northern Ireland and the province of Ulster, and the second largest city on the island of Ireland after Dublin. It is located on the east coast of Northern Ireland and is flanked to the west by a series of hills, including Cavehill Hill, thought that inspired the novel by Jonathan Swift, Gulliver's Travels.

Our partner school is located in the university area of the city 10 minutes from downtown. The research center building is Victorian and has four plants that create the perfect environment for you to study English in good condition, along with other students from around the world.

The school has 12 classrooms equipped with the latest in new technologies for teaching, a student lounge equipped with computers, a small garden, a kitchen, dining room and free WiFi access throughout its range.

In addition, the neighborhood where the school is located, consists of various establishments, mostly catering to leisure and to entertain the university population.

The program of learning English is based on projects, activities, tasks and topics designed to give the confidence to the students to speak English. The students will be evaluated before and assigned to  to the class that best suits your level of English, to take full advantage of this experience.

1. Standard Course
Level: Beginner to Advanced
Minimum age: 17 years
Students per class: max. 12 students
Classes and Duration: 20 lessons per week for 55 minutes.
Hours: 09:00 to 13:00
Course duration: 2 to 48 weeks

2. Intensive Course
Level: Beginner to Advanced
Minimum age: 17 years
Students per class: max. 12 students
Classes and Duration: 25 lessons per week (20 general + 5 self-study) for 55 minutes.
Hours: 09:00 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 15:00 (self-study)
Course duration: 2 to 48 weeks

3. TOEIC Course
Level: Intermediate to Advanced
Minimum age: 17 years
Students per class: max. 12 students
Classes and Duration: 25 lessons per week (20 general + 5 TOEIC) for 55 minutes.
Hours: 09:00 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 15:00
Course duration: 2 weeks.

4. Cambridge course (FCE)
Level: Intermediate to Advanced
Minimum age: 17 years
Students per class: max. 12 students
Classes and Duration: 25 lessons per week (20 general + 5 FCE, CAE, CPE) for 55 minutes.
Hours: 09:00 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 15:00
Course duration: from 4.6 to 8 weeks.

5. Cambridge course (CAE, CPE)
Level: Upper Intermediate to Advanced
Minimum age: 17 years
Students per class: max. 12 students
Classes and Duration: 25 hours per week for 55 minutes.
Hours: 09:00 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 15:00
Course duration: 4, 6 or 8 weeks + 1 extra week of accommodation (exams)

ACTIVITIES

MundiaLengua offers a wide variety of activities both cultural and entertainment to liven up their free time. These activities include guided tours of the city to meet not only the recent history of Belfast but also its numerous archeological and historical discoveries, some 5000 years ago.

It also proposes dedicated to leisure activities, students can enjoy the current attractions in the city, elegant boutiques and colorful atmosphere of old pubs, which will enable young people know each other better as they continue their language learning.

On the other hand, the supply in sports is also very varied. Thanks to the infrastructure available to the school and the city itself, you can practice the sport you like. Among them are an important fishing, cycling, tennis, golf, as well as the usual football and basketball.

EXCURSIONS

Among the activities of leisure, one finds the paragraph of excursions or cultural exits to diverse points of interest near to the city of study. These departures are scheduled as follows:

• Excursions of a complete day every week to places of historical and cultural interest. In this case, the school arranges for weekend trips to the Antrim Coast and Giants Causeway.
• The visits are carefully planned and supervised in order that the students could enjoy places historical and cultural interest.
• Specialized guides to guarantee a professional visit.

ACCOMMODATION

The accommodations offered are located around the center of the city and with an excellent line of communication through underground stations nearby. Furthermore, both types of accommodation have laundry and half board.

1. Homestay: to learn a language there is nothing better than the total living offering the option of staying with a host family. You will stay in single room with two meals (breakfast and dinner) daily and in some cases may have a private bathroom. Most families live within walking distance to school and live further away within 30 minutes by bus.
2. Shared apartment: If you just want to have more independence and the chance to meet other international students have the opportunity to stay in one of the shared apartments, which are given by our partner school. With an average of 20 minutes away from the school, you will stay in a furnished single room and share a fully equipped kitchen, living room and bathroom with other residents.
